چکیده

We have evaluated the efficacy of utilizing radioimmunoassays (RIAs) for prothrombin activation fragments (F2/F1 +2) and for thrombin-antithrombin complex (TAT) in purified systems and in whole blood. During venipuncture. appropriate anticoagulants were employed in order to prevent the generation of thrombin and factor Xa. The RIAs were shown to be specific for F2/F1 +2 as well as TAT and did not interact with other plasma components. Initially. thrombin generation was studied in a purified human system of prothrombin. antithrombin. factor Xa. and factor V as well as phospholipid and Ca . Under these conditions. the kinetics of F2/F1 +2 and TAT generation were virtually superimposable. However. when factor V was omitted from the reaction mixture. a significantly greater amount of F2/F142 as compared to TAT was observable. Subsequently. prothrombin activation was monitored during the

Cure Kinetic of Polyurethane/Fluorinated POSS Hybrid

One of the decisive factors in obtaining the desired properties in coatings is their complete curing, which necessitates the study of kinetics of curing. In recent years, many studies have been conducted on the use of polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) in coatings. Creating functional groups on POSS and using it in formulation can create new or improve the properties of coatings. I...

The inhibition of thrombin-dependent positive-feedback reactions is critical to the expression of the anticoagulant effect of heparin.

Heparin catalyses the inhibition of two key enzymes of blood coagulation, namely Factor Xa and thrombin, by enhancing the antiproteinase activities of plasma antithrombin III and heparin cofactor II. In addition, heparin can directly inhibit the activation of Factor X and prothrombin. The contributions of each of these effects to the anticoagulant activity of heparin have not been delineated. W...

The effect of 4 weeks of endurance training and eugenol consumption on the expression of Gap43 and E-cadherin genes in the heart tissue of chlorpyrifos-poisoned mice

1.Introduction Among the various tissues of the body, the heart is one of the main and most important organs of the body to which human life depends, and any tissue and physiological damage to it disrupts human health (10) . On the other hand, today, prescribing sports activities is accepted as an effective prescription in the prevention and treatment of many diseases and improving heart f...

The activation of factor X and prothrombin by recombinant factor VIIa in vivo is mediated by tissue factor.

The human coagulation system continuously generates very small quantities of Factor Xa and thrombin. Current evidence suggests that basal level activation of the hemostatic mechanism occurs via Factor VIIa-dependent activation of Factor X, but direct proof has not been available for the participation of tissue factor in this pathway. To examine this issue, we infused relatively high concentrati...
